Happy Congratulations! with top tips

Hello,
There's just Gold everywhere right now, on the high street, in jewellery and fashion and most noticeably for us crafters all around on cards- wherever you look!
So, in keeping with this theme I made this lil' card with subtle highlights in gold but the other colours are Crisp Cantaloupe with a touch of Pool Party too...
I used the gold encore pad to stamp the lanterns, hopefully you can see the shine when it catches the light in this picture, the Cantaloupe plain twine is a SAB freebie when you spend £45 :-)
and these gold sequins were added with crystal effects, a perfect glue for these kind of things and it dries clear and really quickly when you only use a little bit too :-)
OK, Quick TIP 1: There is a top and a bottom to the lantern so I marked the top with a sharpie on the front..
then followed it round to the top
and finally the back (I don't use the stickers included as I find the stamps stick to the block better), now I can see which way up my image is when it's on the clear block :-)))))
Now, top TIP :
So, the Hardwood stamp is not wide enough to stamp across your card when it's wide so I simply used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig. Pretty straight forward I hear you say, not really a tip! Yep, I have to agree so my TOP TIP is to mark the bottom of the wooden block (in fact on any stamps that look similar both ways up, but especially those that may need a s-a-m-j) because trust me when you put it down and go back to line it up you are going to wonder which way you placed it down. Ask me how I know this??!
and the card again to finish today :-D
Right, that's me for today, I hope that my tips are a help to someone out there :-)
Thanks, as ever, for visiting today. have a fab Saturday!

    1. Hi Rachael,
Thanks for your kind comment, so glad you liked the card!
To get this look I used Very Vanilla card for the background with Sahara Sand ink. If it's any help I do try to list all the products I use under my posts :-)
Thanks again and if you have a go I would love to see,
      Stampin Hugs xx
